House Tour

Entering the drive from the bridleway, Beech House is through the black wrought iron gates on your right, the door flanked by a columned portico. A parking area for 10 cars is in front of the house, beyond which a stone arch leads into the walled garden. This has lawns and a summerhouse with garden furniture and barbecue provided.

Inside the house, the marble-floored hall leads to the large kitchen-diner on your left, with terracotta tiled floor. It is very well equipped with Bosch four-ring electric hob and extractor over, Bosch double electric oven and Miele dishwasher. A panelled surround separates the hob from the dining area, where two large farmhouse tables in L-formation allow dining for 20 people, seated on an antique pine corner settle and individual beech chairs. A door leads into the utility room, with chest freezer, two large Miele larder fridges, Miele washing machine, Miele dishwasher, microwave and a condenser tumble drier.

Returning to the hall, on the left is a cosy study/games room, with a decorative stove set in a marble fireplace. This room can also be used for more intimate dining for up to four people if desired, with a round table and six chairs, a glass-topped side table and 2-seater sofa.

Next along the passage is the TV/video room with two 3-seater sofas, an armchair and a matching large stool as well as a side-table.

At the end of the house is a lovely, spacious and elegant drawing room, with two 4-seater sofas, one 3-seater sofa and two armchairs. There is a side-table and large coffee table. A television, DVD player and HiFi system are provided and there is a wood-burning stove in the marble fireplace. A door leads into the garden.

Returning towards the entrance hall, a double bedroom is found to the left, en suite to a shower room with sink and WC, a room also accessible from the hall.

Ascending the mahogany staircase to the first floor, we turn left to the lilac suite, comprising of a double bedroom and a triple bedroom (with double bed and single bed) sharing a private access area which leads also to the bathroom ensuite, the bath with a shower over, sink, WC and bidet.

Returning to the galleried landing, we come next to a triple bedroom (with 3 single beds) on the left and opposite this a smaller double bedroom, these sharing the shower room with sink and WC, to be found next on the left.

At the end of this landing we see ahead a door leading into the yellow suite. An access lobby leads on the left to a double bedroom and through to the ensuite shower room with sink and WC. Ahead from the access lobby, a door leads into a dressing area and another through to a double bedroom via an arch. Another door ahead takes us into the bathroom ensuite, with sink and WC.

Leaving this suite, the stairs now on our right lead to the second floor. Turning left we pass a single bedroom on the left, which also has use of the shower room at the foot of the stairs. Ahead is a twin bedroom leading to the shower room ensuite, with sink and WC. Returning across the landing we find a double bedroom ahead, with bathroom ensuite, including sink and WC and our tour is complete!
